To mark World Mental Health Day, we decided to bring attention to the importance of finding a healthy offline/online balance in life. Here are our top three tips to help you disconnect from the device and recharge in life!
Our first tip is all about setting limits. If you place boundaries for yourself around how much time you put into social media each day, then you won’t end up checking your accounts so often, helping you give that swiping finger a rest.
Our second tip is about reestablishing connections. Actually talk to your friends and family! If you can’t meet up in person, try video or telephone chatting rather than just “likes”, “shares” and “comments”– it can be refreshing to really reconnect!
Finally, our third tip requires you to be present. Take some time to set your phone aside and focus on what’s happening around you, instead of on your screen; life is beautiful when you take time to look up and live in the moment!
